I recently reviewed Victoria Boutenko's 3-video series entitled 12 Steps to Raw Food, and when I opened the package there was included a little gift from her husband Igor - raw wraps. These are dehydrated sandwich wraps, and they were delicious! I decided to visit their new online store to see what else they were making now. I ordered some veggie burgers, and I was not disappointed. My dehydrated veggie burgers never come out this good!

As Victoria explains in her food preparation videos, gourmet food encompasses all the tastes including sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and spicy. Of course, each dish will have a predominant flavor, but I've used this theory a lot in my own un-cooking when making salad dressings, crackers, etc. These raw burgers have the perfect delicious balance of flavors. My raw teen friend thought so, too, when I shared them with her (read Sarah's review).

They are very hard, because the Boutenkos take care to dehydrate their product fully to ensure freshness. They recommend rehydrating the veggie burgers in water for one second before eating to soften them a bit. I tried them both ways and liked them a lot. Now I can't wait to try some of their other raw foods!
